MEDIA-MAPPING RESEARCH:

A media-mapping exercise, exploring the media coverage of issues pertaining to children, is undertaken by ACJ in collaboration with UNICEF. Through this research work, the ACJ seeks to fill the existing gap in the field of research, in order to understand how issues pertaining to children have been covered by the media.

Abstract:

The paper seeks to examine the media coverage and editorial discretion with respect to legislation concerning children in India. For this purpose, the study will analyze the print media coverage of the Amendments to the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
