AMBASSADOR MADANJEET SINGH 1924 – 2013

Ambassador Madanjeet Singh, Founder of the South Asia Foundation (SAF), played a seminal role in making the Asian College of Journalism what it is today. He contributed liberally to the building of the new campus at Taramani, Chennai. The annual scholarship grant endowed by SAF enables young women and men from South Asia and each constituent of SAARC to study at the ACJ and imbues their journalistic perspective with the spirit of mutual understanding and goodwill. His infectious enthusiasm for a new sense of regional belonging and togetherness drives us forward. We bow before the memory of our dear, invaluable friend and benefactor and rededicate ourselves to the cause of excellence and humaneness he held dear.
