Arunabh Saikia from Scroll.in for his expose titled “Adani power station gets coal from Hasdeo Arand mine allocated to Rajasthan” was declared winner of the Asian College of Journalism’s Award for Investigative Journalism 2022. Saikia’s investigation sheds light on the alleged illegal coal trading practices of Adani Power Limited and its connections to the political establishment in India.

Shyamlal Yadav and Sandeep Singh were declared winners of the Asian College of Journalism’s Award for Investigative Journalism 2021. The winning entry titled ‘Ayodhya land deals’, published in The Indian Express newspaper in December 2021, investigates the wrongdoings of families of public officials bought land after the apex court verdict, all within a 5-km radius of the Ram temple site.

Prabhjit Singh and Arshu John were declared winners of the Asian College of Journalism’s Award for Investigative Journalism, 2020. Singh and John’s winning entry, titled‘Crime and Prejudice’, published in The Caravan Magazine in September 2020, investigates the communal riots that broke out in India’s capital city last year.

Nitin Sethi’s six-part series titled ‘Paisa Politics’India was chosen as the winning entry for the ACJ Award for Investigative Journalism 2019.

‘Coalgate 2.0’ authored by Nileena M S and published in The Caravan magazine in March 2018 was chosen as the winning entry for the ACJ Award for Investigative Journalism 2018.

Samar Halarnkar’s story, titled As Millions Try to Prove Citizenship in Assam, One Man’s Story Reveals Peril’s of Proof‘, published on IndiaSpend.org on 28 October 2017 on citizenship in Assam was chosen as the winning entry for the ACJ Awards for Investigative Journalism 2017.

The series of stories done jointly by Mr. Shyamlal Yadav & Mr. Jay Mazoomdaar of The Indian Express  on One-rupee Jan Dhan trick wins the ACJ Award for Investigative Journalism for the year 2016.

The Story of Manju Das by Nilita Vachani wins the first ACJ Award for Investigative Journalism for the year 2015.
